I had a basal cell it had to be excised I went to numerous dermatologist they all said stay out of the sun and in a year i ended up haveing over ten spots removed I finally went to a dermatologist a friend recomended he sat me down and said you need to get some sun I was like what in the world then he explained to me why the sun is so important and that moderate sun exposure produces an essentail vitamin that is very good for you D I was like well can't I just drink milk and he said you can't consume enough milk or calcium to get enough viatmin D as a good 20 min in light sun so I took his advice the basal cells are gone and haven't come back not to say tomorrow they won't but it's been two years and I feel his advice helped me. I finally asked him why all other dermatologist tell you to stay out of the sun and what he told me I am not even going to get into on a forum. needles to say I was alsmost convinced then I started looking at the rates of skin cancer in people who are constantley exposed to the sun closer to the equator all day long all there lives and it's amazing how the skin cancer rates drop in these countries and in some it's virtually non existant from what I read so I sunno maybe some sunchine in moderation is a good thing for us what are your thoughts.
