View Full Version : Burning Hands

I am having so much pain in my hands down to my fingertips!! It feals like when I was a kid and played in the snow without my mittens then came in to warm up. It is a severe burning and stinging. I keep alternating dipping my hand into a cup of ice water and this is a temporary relief but as soon as they reach room temp, its back again.

Also, all day I have been so dizzy I have had to sit down frequently. These are definately different things I've been feeling.

Last friday I had a heavy job to do, doing over a bedroom and I lifted mattresses, rugs beaureaus and such and definately overdid myself. I new it was too much for me but I figured, what the heck, its got get done (I own a board and care home and this is my job alone). The next day I spent the day on the couch comepletly exhausted. My legs have been buzzing all over and vibrating allover and stinging but these other things just started today.

Is this a normal thing from overdoing or should I be concerned?

I am still undx and have an appoinment with the neuro on thursday after my nerve conduction test, and he thinks this isn't neurological?

Any input is helpful!!

Thanks a bunch!!~ Cindy

I think you might have over-worked yourself. When my hands are painful, I wear a pair of thinsulate deerskin gloves. They help me a bunch. They are slightly cushioned/padded and are comfortable.

Hi Cindy,

I get those awful pains in my hands also.. Cant say my pains are from over doing it cause i get them at any time, i just stick them under my butt if i cant get to warm water... the pain can last for a while. Yes it feels like frost bite, hard to explain... its so annoying i know, i sympathise with you.
