Is it me or is it the meds. Had my IUI on Wed, been using my prog supp like always, but also taking Estrodial this cycle. I am feeling backed up though, could this be the cause?

not sure when I beta, they did not tell me what day. Hmmm, I'm guessing the 9th or 10. trying not to think about it and maybe that is the trick ;) ;)

Absolutely, it can be because of the meds, especially progesterone. Progesterone can cause serious constipation, along with estrodial. I am little surprised that your doctor did not tell you this about the progesterone. Drink lots of liquids! It should help. ;)

thanks, I have been drinking lots of hot tea, that usually does the trick but it hasn't been this cycle. Perhaps it is the Estrodial, that is the only thing this cycle that has changed. thanks

Hi Hopeful, I was also warned that constipation is a common side effect from progesterone. Maybe you got lucky and it just didn't affect you last time and it's getting to you on this round. I should be starting supplements next week, so I've already started to eat All-Bran at least once a day... all the bloating from the meds is bad enough, the last thing I want is to be backed up on top of it! ;) Good luck to you hun!
