I have read many posts referring to eye symptoms.....usually to the the pain, bluring etc. found with ON. Are there other eye symptoms? Like muscle spasms where your eyes feel like they are looking in two different directions at the same time....so your vision is screwed up but not really double vision?

YES,

Theres forms of nystagmus one in particular called INO/BINO.usually detected through a ENG/VNG done by an ENT.And is commonly found in MS patients but not widely discussed here as ON is ussually the norm with MS

Definately contact an optamologist. My 18 year old daughter suffers from eye spasms when she has to focus on any one item. That was found by a neuro-opthamologist when she was applying for the navy academy. We knew she had poor vision and thats the cause.

Hi there lynxgal
I havent been diagnosed with MS but I am suspicious of it. I get muscle spasms in my face all the time. When i smile the right side of my face twitches, when i close my eyes my eyelids flicker, and when squinting/straining, my eyes twitch too. again i dont get doulble vision but my vision seams jumpy.(hard to describe really). It also seams to me that when I get this strange feeling, like I can feel my pulse, my eyes seem to jump with it, vision disturbance yes, like my actual eyeballs are pulsating sounds gross feels gross but they actually arnt moving. I had my poor husband looking into my eyes for a half hour lol, he thinks im cracking up...
Hope this helps with your question thats my experience anyway...
Take care of yourself:)

At times I have had what feels like my left eye pulling toward my nose. When I ask people if they can see it, they say that my eye looks normal. Of course when this happens, I can't focus on anything using both eyes. If I cover one or the other then I can see more clearly. Anyone else ever have this?

Hugs,

Lynn

Janito, thats a pretty good description , to what i go through with my eyes. Not always ,but at least once or twice a week. The only way i get comfort is to put my cold fingertips over them for a while, at least they're always cold cause i have always numbness in the tips. Yes i have MS.

Thank you everyone for the replys.

I also have bouncing vision at times and nystagmus was found during my eng/vng testing as well as bilateral vestibular dysfunction. I don't think the nystagmus found is normally related to MS. I will have to pull my test results out and look at them again. This new weird eye symptom just happened once a couple of days ago. It followed one of my weird brain zaps.

On the eye subject....Along with the blurry/disconnected kind of stuff, has anyone ever had what seems like a white ball of light move across your vision (while your eyes are open) along with floaters?

I checked the test results and what was found was a verical up beating nystagmus with vision denied. I'm not sure but I don't think that goes along with MS. This test was done in April when the only symptom I had was severe vertigo. I just recently had that weird eye muscle spasm.

I have floaters what seems like all the time. Every so often I get that white ball of light. I also keep thinking I see a bug or something fly in my vision because of all the junk my eyes are doing.
Of course, my initial symptom with MS was diplopia (double vision) but that was 12 years ago. I only get the double vision if I look too far to the right with one of my eyes or if I'm lying on my side trying to watch tv.

Whatsgoingon,
I get the ball flaters and also sometimes i'll get the dark images as if someone is in the room with me..
Janito,
The hot weather does bother me heaps.. My aircon is on constantly. Its only spring here so the heat hasn't kicked in yet. Wont be long.
We have family here at the moment from Sydney, and they love it , not as crazy as Sydney with husle and bustle. Im only doing as much sight seeing as my legs will carry, hubby is doing the rest, cause there's sooo much to see.
