I had a colonoscopy at 7:30 a.m. today. I had a lot of gas which seemed to be all gone by 2 p.m. After dinner I laid down on the couch to watch TV. I dozed off for an hour, but when I got up I have this really hard bloated stomach and pain. I have tried to pass gas, but there is none. My stomach feels so hard that I cannot suck it in. Plus to do so, hurts. Did anyone else have this happen to them?
I was given a clean bill of health and there were no polyps removed. I am worried because the paper given to me warned if you have excessive bloating or pain to call. I am looking for reassurance that this is normal.
My husband had no gas or pain at all with his colonoscopy. He is complaining that I should have gone to his doctor instead of the one I went to. I went to this one because he had early morning appointments and his doctor does not do her colonoscopys until 3 pm. I did not want to wait unitl the late afternoon to have this test done.
Please advise. Thank you!
