Sorry to hear that you are so ill. You wont have a set back if you dont do your vrts, but I would continue them as soon as you are feeling better so you can start challenging your system again.

Your immune system is very weak right now from all the stress of driving your daughter to school. Also, she is probably bringing home a few bugs to. Get some good night sleep and take some vitamins, and eat greens for dinner. Just little things like that will help. I know this might sound strange, but eat a few cloves of garlic a day. Great way to fight and prevent colds.

Take care of yourself. Dont let these little bumps in the road discourage from recovery. Its only part of it. And remember the first 12 months are the roughest. Stay strong and you'll get there!

Something nasty is going around, I think. Get plenty of rest and enough fluids. If you like hot tea and soup, they help clear up congestion somewhat.

Hope you feel better soon!

Hi all,, Sorry to hear about this cold. My hubby is real big on health food stuff and herbal and vitamine suppliments and all that kind of stuff. He's also Very Big on those little bottles of germ killing jells. Yeah, everytime we leave a store or Anyplace, that requires your hand to open doors or touch anything at all,, well don't ya know,, he's pullin that lil bottle out and passing it around! But he's biggest yet on that good old Rubbing Alcohol! Everytime the kids come home with a cold or anykind of bug symptom,,Man that alcohol comes out with the paper towels and he's like (I'm sure everybodies granny) "keep those hands washed and those hands away from your face!!" Well, I have often found myself mocking him. But he hasn't been sick in almost 3 years now. And as for me, I havn't really been sick with anything other than a 2 or 3 day sniffle or cough iether. That is until this "virus bug" thing hit me in July.I thought I beat it in August. But I guess the last laugh has been on me,cause that's just where my newest story has begun, with my Dr calling it BPPV.
Yeah, I've mocked him, and even made fun of him off and on. But boy let me tell you this,,,, now,I've got bottles of alcohol in both bathrooms, and on the kitchen counter. Got a bottle of that jell for each of my school girls, and my purse. Yesterday on the phone with my BF from work, I told her to be ready to LHAO at me all she wants to from now on,, because when I do finally make it back to work that lil bottle will be in use mode before and after every break, and any other time I or (my hubbies voice-in my head) thinks I should use it ! lol
Meanwhile, your getting great advise on here, hope it all helps ya beat this new cold fast, and back on your feet feeling better real soon!!!

 D & S Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated, hot (boiled and cooled) water will help with the congestion, take some hot baths, quet ones and inhale the steam from them, they will also help you to relax and most of all keep calm, worrying about how it's going to leave you feeling will just make you feel worse.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hi there,, Sheriff's got great advice too.
But hey, if you plan to go to bed (to sleep) right after one of those nice hot baths,,prop yourself up on a couple of pillows. I mean try not to sleep flat, mainly Not flat on your back. You already have a bug to deal with,so not laying flat, especially on your back will help avoid allowing all that new soothing moisture to give that bug an easy seepage into your lungs while you sleep. Pneumonia,,,, trust me,, you don't want it !!!

Glad you're feeling better!

If it feels like the congestion is loosening up, it's usually a good sign for me and means the worst is over. Continue to get enough fluids and sleep/rest. Don't make your body work too hard as long as you're feeling sick!
