how often can you get cortisone shots

As far as im aware you can have individual joint shots or a depo in your bum which provides relief all over your body for a longer time (up to 3 months i think), how many times a year im not sure. Due to the risks associated with steroids such as oesteoporosis i dont think doctors like to give you too many!It is recommended that you take 1000mg of calcium tablets when on steroids to help your bones, also a Dexa scan can provide information on the density of your bones, this is england is carried out yearly in most hospitals.
