i've come to the conclusion that this is happening because of my poor diet. I'm 20 years old, 6' and 190lbs, and I definitly don't eat healthy. i've never liked vegetables. i usually don't eat fruit because it gives me a wierd feeling in my stomach, like the fruit is eating away at whatever's in my stomach, and i'll usually feel more hungry after eating them.

so i guess i'll describe my symptoms.. i have pretty long hair, i don't think i'm balding yet, but my brush has lots of hair in it. and if i run my fingers through my hair i can pull out 2-3 hairs with ease. when it's moderately cold outside i shiver very easily. when i yawn my arm or some other limb will shake severely, almost uncontrollably.

what kind of vitamin supplements should i take? i'm sure a multi-vitamin would be good, but which vitamin do you think i'm lacking the most that causes these problems?

I'd see a dr about getting both a nutritional panel (vits/mins) and a thyroid panel done, just to make sure. I wouldn't just start taking vitamins without knowing whether or not there's anything else going on. An excess of vitamins and/or minerals can be as bad or worse than being deficient. Its all about balance.

Ask the dr to recommend a nutritionist who can start you on a meal plan. You'd be surprised just how tasty healthy foods can be when they're prepared properly and it really is better to get your nutrition from food, rather than continuing to eat badly and take supplements.

Good luck and please keep us posted. :)
