Hi,
In 2004 I was a passenger in a vehicle when another vehicle ran a stop sign and crossed our path. We were going approx 50 km. I saw the vehicle entering our path so I yelled at the driver and twisted in my seat to grab the wheel. We hit t-boned the other car. I hit my head, my knee on console and big toe on right foot under dash (lost the nail really painful). The airbags did not deploy. Immediately after the accident I could not breath in without unimaginable pain and was scared stupid. I was taken to hospital where they determined I probably cracked my sternum. My lower ribs left side are still painful to the touch. I had problems with my neck at C1,C2, and the bottom of my neck (C?) and upper back to T? lower back was also twisted at impact and now have pain down right leg but do get it in the left leg. The day after the accident part of one of my bottom front teeth fell off in my mouth.
Physio 3 to 5 times a week for relief. I was experiencing tingling & numb feeling in my 3rd to pinkie finger left arm until one day it was like someone hooked me up to an electrical outlet. I made arrangements to see my doctor.
Then someone else decided not to stop for a red light and hit me full into the passenger door and pushed my vehicle across 2 lanes of traffic (can't believe I wasn't hit more than once road is like a highway). I saw him coming and automatically braced. Hit my head again and was dizzy immediately. Vomiting followed the next day. Now the electrical feeling is replaced with a steady deep horrible pain. Re-injured all my earlier injuries back to square one but worse.
Eight months later I was awoken with an unbelievable pain running from the top of my neck, through my chest so intense that I eventually had my husband take me to ER. There they put me on morophine & anti inflamm's and sent me home. I had a physio appt that morning so I went and there they found that the right side of my neck was bulged at the base over the collar bone. Now my left arm pain has increased again but now I have an itch from the shoulder to just above my wrist that is so bad my arm is scarred from me scratching. I am now thankfully on gabapentin which has been a miracle drug for me.
I have had 2 nerve tests done, MRI's, CT's, X-rays but nothing is showing why I have the symptoms I have. It's like I am making it up or so it seems. I am in a legal suit for compensation since I couldn't work for 2 years and all the money out for drugs, etc.. The defendants lawyer's "doctor" is trying to blame all of this on the fact I had breast cancer in 2003. I had no lymph node dysection but I did have radiation to the left side of my chest.
Anyone out there have any suggestions for me or had similar test results?
