Has anyone ever had pytiriasis rosea - I came down with a case of it. I saw the hearld patch, which I mistook for ringword around mid Sept.
I believe it was triggered by a new medication and stress. Anyone have some experience with this? I could use some ideas on soothing my skin. It is covering my entire torso, front and back, shoulders and neck.
Help and advice is sooooo welcome.

Yes, I have had this before. It is actually unknown how it is contracted but is considered a virus of some sort. Strange thing is, it is not contagious! Confusing, irritating, and embarrassing! I had it for 6 weeks. The doctor prescribed a lotion with steroids in it. Also, I had to go twice a week for UV treatments for three weeks. (this helped dry the skin and lessen the spots) There really isn't a cure except time. Be thankful that once you have it, you are likely never to have it again. Just hang in there.

Thank you, I appreciate it.
I actually have seen a drastic improvement today. I have treated it for two days with something called silvercure It was developed for Molluscum Which my 5yo son had this winter. It is a form of pox virus (not chicken) it is the same family as this pytiriasis I belive. The silver stuff worked wonders for my son, so I hope it will expedite this for me. I get all the luck....hahah
