My son had thoracic surgery June 26 as the result of a fall off a swing. All injuries were internal (ruptured diaphragm, perforated stomach). His left lung had collapsed and he became toxic. He was also suffering major organ failure. He was on life support and dialysis, but while in ICU developed a fungal infection in his blood. The incisions had to be opened in order to drain the infection. The larger of the two incisions has healed wonderfully, but the smaller one is still partially open, hyper granulated, and is still seeping a bit of infection. I have started to put colloidal silver on the wound, and I am getting him to use acuped foot patches. I am curious if there is anything else (natural) that we can use to assist with the healing of his wound.

thank you

Go buy an aloe plant and fillet one of the "leaves" and place the aloe inside the wound -- it will heal it.

Thank you. I actually have a huge aloe plant in our home. I never even thought of using that.

We have an aloe vera plant just for this very reason. Living in Los Angeles, we get a lot of sun throughout the year and that leads to a lot of sunburns. Putting pure aloe vera on the burn is so great. I'm glad to hear things worked for you too.

Thank you all for your suggestions. It has been just one year (June 25) since my son had is accident. The wound has healed, but it has left quite the scar. I was placing aloe, colloidal silver, and vitamin E on the wound when it was open. The home care nurses were a bit skeptical at first, but when they saw the results, they were quite amazed, and pleased.

To Michelle87, I would absolutely try the aloe, as well as the colloidal silver, as it is a natural antibiotic, and will help to prevent any infection. Depending on the size of the wound, and location, place a few drops (about 10ml) on it and let it run the length of the wound.

Good luck to all.....take care, stay safe
