Hey guys,
I'm only 20 but my hair seems to be falling out at an outrageous rate. I've always had a high hairline but this is something else.
My scalp is always itchy. When I wake up there's about 15-20 hairs on my pillow. In the shower I probably lose another 30 or more. Whenever I run my hand through my hair - on the top, back or front - several more strands come out. I must be losing a few hundred hairs a day.
What could be causing this? I don't have much hair loss running in my family at all. It could be natural, but it definitely doesn't feel like it!

Hi bin_man...........
Are you currently on any medications that might have side affects that might be causing the hair loss.. you could have a thyroid problem.....it could be the shampoo, which might be drying....in any case you need to get yourself to a doctor to see what is going on.... In the mean time If you scalp is dry and itchy you might try an olive oil treatment for your scalp...
hope you find some good answers to your question on the boards..................jennie, az:wave:
