should i take trazodone before major surgery

I would say that's something you need to talk over with your anesthesiologist. Certainly make him and your doc aware that you are taking it.

Do you mean right before you go into surgery? I've been on Trazodone for 10 years & have had 2 surgeries, a breast reconstruction & a total knee replacement. I was told to take my meds as usual the night before surgery. I take my Trazodone at night to help me sleep so I took it. I agree though, I'd call the doc to make sure it's ok if you're worried about it. Good luck with your surgery.
