Hi,
never posted on this part of the forum before....only on the eye forum. Excuse me if I get some abbreviations wrong, or don't use them.

DH and I got sent for tests by GP doc as we've been TTC. I had bloods and ultrasound and all clear for me. My DH, was advised that he's not producing enough good sperm. I don't have the paperwork to hand, but but he was 10% below in one category and 10% above in another what he should have been.

We've got an appointment booked with a clinic, but it's a few weeks away, and my mind's racing as to what does this mean?? Will he be able to take a pill to increase the good sperm, and we still try naturally? or we must now look at other options other than natural conception? He doesn't smoke, drinks v. little, has quite a healthy diet etc BTW he's 29 and I'm 32.

I appreciate more info maybe required but thank you in advance for all replies, I'm a little anxious.

I would say they will probably want to do IUI and I think they add something to your DH's sperm to make them where they will implant correctly. I don't know much about that so don't quote me. good luck.

Hi airline, I know that Vitamin E suplements help with the sperm morphology. I am sure there are more secrets out there to improve quality but an RE will definitely tell you more on what to do.
An IUI it gives you much more chances for a pregnancy then the natural way when its male factor. You can tell the RE though that you are looking to conceive naturally.
Good Luck and you made a good choice in looking for a RE opinion.

My DH takes a supplement I purchased on-line called Fertility Blend for men. It includes L-carnitine, along w/vitamin C and Zinc, which all help the spermies. If you can't purchase this all-in-one, purchasing seperately and taking each should be just fine. Check on-line for doses, I'm not sure what's recommended. It sounds like your DH just needs a little boost.

Did they confirm that you are ovulating? Do you chart your temperature, or watch for cervical mucus (CM) signs? You might also want to look into these for yourself, just so you cover all your bases.

Good Luck and keep up posted,
Christin
