Hi PinkyPricsilla(did i spell it right?)

Actually you DO have to have the trigger points as that is , specifically, what is used as diagnostic criteria. There are 18 sites of trigger points related to fibromyalgia, and 11 of those MUST be present for a Dx of FMS to be made. THese points must also exist on both sides of the body, us well as upper and lower body.

Without these evidenced, a dr. is only guessing at the Dx.
