I just had Interlase 2 days ago and can see well at a distance but not up close. I can't read or use computer well as all is blurry. I feel like I need reading glasses now after the surgery when I didn't before. I'm only 31. Is this a normal healing thing or has the surgery compromised my close up vision??!

No need to worry yet. It's way too early to know if that's something that won't dissapear. I know it's frustrating not to be able to see well right away. I actually think my lasik doc told me not to use the computer for 3 days because of eye strain. If you're still having problems Monday I would give them a call just to make sure everything's ok.

The blurrines is from the swelling in your cornea...I assume you are on some steriod drops which will help reduce the inflammation. I would be patient for a few weeks.

Thank you for your replies. The blurriness is already getting better, so I'm also thinking it's from swelling. I tried on some reading glasses in the meantime to see if it helped and it had no effect, another verification that it's probably from swelling. Skylar

Continues to get better, so no reading glasses ;-)
