Hello there! I feel like I may be too young to have arthritis but i am not to sure since I do not know much about arthritis. I am a 28 year old female. Family members of mine do have bad joints knees, hips, and arthritis in hands and in the foot area.
I have had for a while joint pain everywhere. My knees are achey and sore, my ankles hurt and sometimes hurt so much I am limping.....my neck and shoulders are sore and sometimes my hand just become stiff and lock up....like lock jaw...but in my hands in fingers. Didn't know if this classifies as arthritis or not. Thanks for any advice.

Hello Mag
Firstly am sorry you are having somw trouble with your joints, it certainly does sound like symptons associated with arthritis. Your not too young im afraid to have this, even children get arthritis! I would go along to doctor for some blood tests. Takecare and keepo us posted of progress.

Hi, it sounds like arthritis to me too, and unfortunately your definitly not too young. I was first diagnosed with arthritis when I was 24, and now at 42 have finally managed to convince my consultant that I really cannot put up with the pain any longer, so just before christmas will be having my first hip replacement operation, followed by the other one late March. Hope that your not in too much pain, the sort of pain I have suffered over the years I wouldn't want to inflict on anyone, I think that unless you are a sufferer you cannot understand the pain that an arthritis sufferer goes through on a daily basis, all the best to you

Hi, there are many different types of arthritis, different causes of arthritis, and even other diseases that can have arthritis as symptoms. Also, anyone of any age can get one of these, including small children. You are probably thinking of age-related wear & tear arthritis, but there are soooo many different types of arthritis. Plus there can be genetic components to many types of arthritis, even with osteoarthritis.
So the best thing to do, if you've had that for a while and it's not getting better, is to see a physician. You might want to start with a GP, or perhaps a Rheumatologist (who specializes in arthritis).
