DH and I are going to the Reproductive Science Centre in two weeks. We've been trying since March with charting, temps, opks, the works and no luck. So we've got a consultation.

I'm scared, but at the same time glad we're going. This place also has this deal if you qualify where if you pay for 3 IVF or IUI cycles with no luck you get back 70% of your money. Seems pretty good to me! So we'll see what they say!

First though I need to deal with this Tuesday, when I have to have shoulder surgery to remove some bone spurs. :( Means I may not be able to try this month...depends how much pain I'm in.

The good thing is that if the surgery doesnt mess with my cycle I should ovulate the day before my RE appointment so if they want to run any tests to see levels or whatnot it may work out well. :)

Hi Daiseys,

Just wanted to wish you luck...both w/ your upcoming shoulder surgery & your appt w/ the RE. Hope you have a very speedy recovery & can get back to trying soon. Please let us know how you make out.

My office also offers the 3 IVF cycles + 3 FET's w/70% money back if no pregnancy. You need to qualify, and one of the steps is going on day 2 or 3 to give a blood sample. Those levels are part of the qualifying components, so you may not get to get started until your next cycle. Either way, I wish you luck w/IF and your upcoming surgery. Keep us posted on what the RE has to say.

Hey Daisies

I remember you from the TTC boards. I am going through the same as you at the moment, I recently had my 1st appt, they basically ask you lots of questions about your cycle etc and discuss the options available to you, if you have had any previous bloodwork done take them and your charts with you. If they do take blood it will probably be just to check you or DH dont have any nasties and check your blood types.
The next step that they may do and I am just starting myself is the ovulation cycle tracking assessment where they do blood tests at certain times of the month to check your levels of E2 P4 and LH etc.
I will hopefully be starting my 1st IVF cycle in Jan.
Wishing you all the best and good luck with the surgery, let us know how you go.
