Hey Fibro friends:

I'm so happy I found your site. I feel like between us all, surely, we should be able to support one another, find answers to tough problems ie.,military's ignorance if they do not recognize Fibro as the unbareable disease it really is. Could any of you imagine getting out of the bed, if you do sleep and trying to run... Oh, wouldn't that be a sight to behold! I walk like the tin man anyway....
See if any of you might suggest how I should go about trying to find a PCP who is not afraid to prescribe pain medicine that is effective. Aleve just ain't it!!!Thanks for any suggestions and I welcome the oportunity to learn from each of you.

Geez, here I go about LDN again, if you aren't on morphine based medication, there is something helping Fibromyalgia. But, one would need to do the regimen before you are on pain med. Talk to the poster here,(Misty, Misty) ask her about LDN> I believe she will inform you. Good Luck Soleil

Hi, you need deep sleep first and foremeost. A general physician can prescribe Restoril or Ambien for sleep. For muscle spasms use Norflex or Flexeril. Sometimes Baclofen will help with generalzied total body pain.
Low dose Naltrexone regular not slow release at 4.5 mg to start taken once at bedtime will fool the brain into producing more endorphins (our natural pain reliever) during sleep will help you wake up with less pain and stiffness. It also stimulates the T-cells and strengthens the immune system. All of these drugs are compatible. It is wise to stay away from opioid drugs such as Tylenol with codeine if you are going to try Naltrexone. Read some more about LDN which means low dose naltrexone, use the search at the top of the message board and type in LDN or Naltrexone. It really
is a good pain reliever without a lot of side effects. It gives you more energy as well. Any questions just type them here and I will try to answer them. MistyMisty
