Need advice on how to get thru my 8hr workday, until I can either find something to help pain, or get disability to supplement part time work! By Tuesday evening I am completely wiped out! And the more tired I get, the worse the pain! Mondays aren't so bad since I have done nothing but rest all weekend.

Help!!!

After reading your responce I decided to check with my Dr. about the suplemental disability. I was just straight forward with him, and told him how much it interfered with functioning. He agreed that I should change to part time. Also, inspite of co-workers, who thought I couldn't get it until I saw the specialist, he figured he had enough info to go ahead with it. So, I have spent the afternoon, getting my paperwork in order, and plan to go part time starting Monday. Luckily, my supervisor & manager are behind this, and it's no problem. I just have to go thru the process of getting it approved, and I know how picky HR can be!

Wish me luck & thanks for the input!

I am really glad for you that you just moved on this after reading your posts.
If you cannot work due to pain, fatigue, etc. then it only makes sense you have to get some disability filed. You are doing what ever it takes to survive with this. I was aggressive, even tho it was hard to do all the paperwork feeling so very ill. And, documenting with the dr. who listens and believes you are valid is a savior. Not everyone is so fortunate to have a dr. who takes notice of the situation over an extended period of time.
Then, you change your diet. You decide what foods make you feel less well and what makes you ok. You get on supplements and shore your system up because as you know, this isn't an easy road to walk. Giving up working still can bring me to tears if I think about and it has been 11 yrs. now. I hope that with all the things I do that maybe I can work parttime in the future. I will not give that idea up as we all want to work and be productive, just not under these conditions because it isn't possible. Rest and sleep must be on a regular schedule as we suffer if we can't get proper rest.
Let us know how you are doing, there is a lot of help here on the board and lots of good people to answer questions about anything. Soleil
