View Full Version : Strange Cycles!

Hi ladies!
My cycles just keep getting stranger and stranger, & I wanted to find out what's normal & what's not. I had my hysteroscopy to remove polyps on June 13th, & I didn't get a positive OPK after that until a couple of weeks ago. I got positive OPK'S on cycle days 15-17, but I had cramping & bleeding on days 13 & 15. This is the first time I've ever had bleeding mid-cycle. I finally started my period today, but I've had mild passing cramps since Monday, cycle day 27. Prior to my surgery, I had started having strange cycles like this, where I would have cramping, spotting & breast tenderness about 5 days before I would start, but we thought it was caused by the polyps. Breast tenderness is the only thing I haven't had since my surgery. Now I'm really confused & I'm not sure what to think! Something doesn't seem right, but I hate asking my RE about every little symptom, because I don't want him writing me off as a hypochondriac. You know how I feel?
I would greatly appreciate your experiences & advice!

Hi Kat,

I was thinking about you the other day, so I'm glad to see a post from you. :) I wish I could offer you some advice about your cycles. I've only had mid cycle bleeding once or twice that I can remember, and I didn't know what caused it. I remember being confused about it, so I can imagine how you are feeling! I don't think it would hurt to ask your dr for an explanation. I know I hate calling my dr's office w/ question after question too, but they are the professionals, and we are paying them an awful lot of money. :D

Good luck getting some answers. Sending you some baby dust!!

I agree with Holly.....phone up your dr ...they are used to dealing with people who have such problems that is what their job is. Has he seen you after the op? Did he give you an explanation for the mid cycle bleeding. I know what you mean ......but at the same time better safe than sorry especially when dealing with health issues.

Wishing you all the best keep us posted.

I just have to repeat the other ladies, I think it's perfectly fine for you to call up your RE. I'm sure that they would want you to contact them if your having mid cycle bleeding. I'm having mid-cycle bleeding (well more like clotting....I don't bleed, I pass clots. ....sorry, TMI!) right now because I have a large polyp (just one, but it's 2 cm!!) and PCO. Maybe your Re shoudl check again to make sure he didn't miss one or two, and make sure you don't have PCO.
I know you don't want your RE to...how you say...brush you off-- but he shoudln't, and if he does, give him a piece of your mind! :D
