View Full Version : Offbalance/lightheaded again after 2 years HELP!

hey everybody,

question for you.

my dizzy/off balance feeling actually got better after about a year, then progressively got even better to where i never noticed it over the next year....

but now, since i tried mercury chelation with ALPHA LIPOIC ACID my dizzyness has come back as well as food allergies (long story have leaky gut think it's from improper mercury chelation i did 2 years ago with DMPS).

i'm really worried/scared.. not sure why chelating mercury would spark my problems to return.. I had an inner ear test done, showing weakness in my left ear... did the chelation do something to redamage the nerve? or does alpha lipoic acid have some affect on the ear.

I really need advice/help!

scott

ps... does mercury aggravate past injuries to vestibular nerve? especially if the mercury is moving out of tissues or nervous system/brain?

Sco...are you under stress or illness right now? Something says to me, you have decomped a bit. I think you are doing great...just having a bump. When did this come back? Is is as bad as last time or less?

I don't think this is a decomp or bump.. because i haven't had this since it first started..

I was definitely 100% better... and doing fine until i started taking alpha lipoic acid to chelate mercury... ala removes in from the brain and internal organs... soooo.... i have a bad hunch the chelation moved mercury, or circulating mercury redamaged an already sensitive inner ear from the previous injury to it.

oh, and also, no illness right now.. haven't been sick in a while.. all started within the chelation timeframe.

has anybody heard of mercury doing this? or toxicity in the body screwing with the vestibular nerve?

thanks for the reply
scott

Hi Scott,

Sorry you are back; I always hope when I don't hear from someone for awhile they are long gone and recovered.

What was very interesting is that my Neurologist suggested alpha lipodic acid to me for muscle soreness and to help regulate sugar after eating not to disturb my CNS too much. I have tried taking it twice over the last few months and each time after a few days, I feel a wreck. It dawned on me a few times that maybe it was the alpha lipodic acid, but then I thought no because it is such a mild supplement. I am really wondering if this is the culprit now.

Have you tried staying away form the ALA for a while to see if you improve after it clears out of your system? I'm glad you posted about this as I wondered about it myself.

Hopefully it is the culprit and once you stop it for a while your system will go back to normal.

Take care,
Gloria

Gloria,

I have stopped the ALA... unfortunately i'm believing now, since mercury can cause nervous system problem, vestibular problems, and on and on... that the ALA, coupled with pulling mercury out from my body, has either caused it to redamage the vestibular nerve, or somehow caused a major decompensation... i'm not sure which.. but it's way too much of a coincidence...

I just feel horrible thinking about how if it takes another 2 years to feel good again.. ughhhhhh... plus i'm dealing with a leaky gut and food allergies from possible bad chelation protocal 2 years ago with DMPS which turned my tongue yellow..

just dumb
thanks
scott

ps.. do you know any experts you could ask about mercury chelation and the vestibular nerve causing redamage or problems?

That's a big havoc on your nervous system. It seems that it could cause a decomp even though you've been ok for so long. This is a new stress on your system and one it seems it couldn't handle. I would bet you will recover much quicker rather than assume another two years of recovery. Are you still undergoing the chelation? What led you to do chelation?

I hope so... I stopped chelation due to all the symptoms that sparked up again (food allergies and dizzy garbage)... the reason i started chelation was due to a leaky gut, which i believe was caused by improper chelation using DMPS 2 years ago.. after taking that drug my tongue turned yellow and i've been getting more and more allergic to foods ever since..

which leads me to believe something is impeding my gut from healing.. and the only thing i can think of is mercury.

scott

ps.. i'm really trying to find a excellent heavy metal doctor and/or a leaky gut doc anywhere near where i live, or even out of state... i live in concord, ca in the bay area.
