View Full Version : unexpected upside to things

today my wife and i drove to a family event about 350 miles away, stayed about 90 minutes, and drove another 350 miles home. i was behind the wheel for all 700 miles. [we'd driven this route a number of times in the past.] this was our first long drive since my surgery. among the things i noticed:

1. it was much longer between stops for the mens room than i recall from before. we didn't need to stop nearly so often. i drank as much coffee as i wanted.

2. i think my bottom was more comfortable sitting and driving than it was before the surgery. could this be?

maybe if i'd thought about it i would expected these nice side benefits. but i hadn't considered them and thus they were a nice little unanticipated benefit.

I'm ahead of you by a few months. I was 8 months post-op on 9/30/2007. Here's some encouraging news for you...

It gets even better!

Congrats on the little victories!
