Hi,

I haven't been diagnosed with fibro but I feel I may have it.

I have heard about Magnesium Tablets for Fibro, & was wondering if anyone here is taking them? &

* does it help?
* In what way does it help?

I would be glad to hear from anyone who takes them, as I'm on no medication since all my blood results show negative. Doctor is unable to help me at this stage.

Regards
Sharon

Before I linked my fibromyalgia symptoms to my dental amalgams, I took calcium/magnesium pills. They definitely helped my muscle pains. For me, I think the calcium was more important.

Some people feel the best calcium is from the coral reefs. But, I don't know a lot about it.

Other people have written the positive benefits of taking magnesium. I think with any supplements, one has to be careful to take the proper amounts.

Later in life, I did not want to take lots of pills, so I tried to find the foods that were highest in calcium and magnesium. Later, I decided to just change to a healthy diet - and avoid all fattening sweets, alcoholic beverages, and sodas.

All of these better habits helped me survive until I could link my pains to the dental amalgmas. From my experience, I think some of these supplements could help some people.

Hi Sharon
I have had Fibro for years and it gets worse as time goes by.
My Japenese Dr told me to use Magnesium (I use the powdered form)
to get the latic acid out of the muscles. It also brings up the PH balance in the body. Fibro tends to give us high acidity in the body and this is what adds to the pain. Toxins=Acid Acid =Pain
Try it I think it may help you.

Hi rhody, & Bonnie10,

How are you today?

Thank you so much for your replies, every bit of information helps me out.

The more you think about it if you eat healthy you would feel much better & I agree Calcium would help especially for your bones so you don't get Osteoporosis.

Take Care both of you

Sharon

Our oldest daughter with FMS has a very loud popping jaw without magnesium suppliments. I have also heard that people with asthma need more magnesium than the norm. She has asthma.
