I am 16 now and have had chronic plantar faciitis since I was 10. I has come in waves, getting worse each time. Now I can't even stand for a few mins with out pain. But i'm in high school, so sitting all day isn't a choice. I really like to be more active (I love rowing) but I can't at this point. If anyone can help me please do!!

1st question would be is when is the pain the greatest? Is it after your 1st step in the morning? Does it get better as the day goes on? What makes it better / worse. What have you tried to treat it? Have you performed any stretching exercises of your achilles tendon? Those exercises are very important in the management of Plantar Fasciitis. Usually, stretching in addition to ice massage, as well s an arch support be it over the counter or custom will usually help 95% of heel pain. I'd start out by stretching your achilles tendon prior to getting out of bed. Good Luck
