As I mentioned in a previous posting I, too, am a sufferer of chronic pain. I have seen many doctors and have come up with various diagnosis but I can swear my back pain is somehow connected to my foot pain. My feet (yes, both) start hurting after I have been SITTING for more than a few minutes .. as does my back. Also, I cannot bear to stand for more than short periods (although I really push myself at times) as this causes unbearable back and feet pain. The only reason I can cope at all with this pain is very strong medication ... 40 mg. of oxycontin taken 3 times daily AND 800 mgs. of neurontin (a medication used mostly for epilepsy but it has been found to help with neuropathy). ANYONE having back and foot/feet pain please email me. I really need to exchange information with anyone having BOTH types of pain simultaneously.
Thanks

Where does it hurt on your feet and your back? If I stand, sit or walk for long periods of time I get pain on the top of my left foot and around the ankle that goes up the back of my calf and seems to follow the sciatica nerve to my hip and middle of my back (all on the left side). If I continue to walk after the pain starts, I will end up limping back to my destination. If I sit or stand too long, my leg (the left one) and back will ache for the rest of the day. Is this like what your talking about?

Even though the doctors have given me a different diagnosis for each problem, I too believe that they are related. I have been thinking about visiting a reflexologist. Maybe they can heal my whole body.

Please write and tell me some of your theories. Maybe were on to something.
