Hi, my wife and I have been trying since 2003 to have a baby, she underwent 1st op in Aug 2003 polysistic ovaries/laproscopy - changed gynae . 2nd op was in June 2004 edometreosis/laproscopy - changed gynae again.:(

During visit to 3rd gynae he informed us that the previous gynae had removed
her left ovary and her left tube became dysfunctional.

We tried artifical insemination twice and tried Gift twice

I also have a problem with the mobility of my sperm, but the gynae said
it does not pose a major problem.

Can anybody give us some advice on what we should do next:(

Hi pbm7664,

The first thing I'd do if I were in your shoes is switch from an OBGYN to a Reproductive Endocrinologist. They will probably be your best bet in addressing your situation.

Good luck to you guys!

I agree about the Reproductive Endocrinologist.... Ours ran test for us and diagnosed some of my issues from the first visit and has been wonderful! Things that the OBGYN never even mentioned!!!

Good luck to you both!!

I also have to agree. An RE will be much more proactive and will open the door to many options that OBGYNs just are not trained to consider. Good luck to you and your DW. I'm sorry your road has been so long and hard thus far. I hope your bfp is just around the corner. :)

Oh I am so sorry to hear what you and DW have gone through. I agree---I would consider going to an RE. They're trained in so much more than OBGYNs (No offense to gyns) . Also, I would also consider diet and exercise (not callign you or DW lazy or anthing ) because nutrition is a HUGE part of dealign with IF. I didn't have my period for 7 months, and I changed my diet, exercised some more and got acpuncture, and now it's pretty regular (if a littl eheavy, but that's because of a polyp---another story  ) But anyway, there are lots of vitamins and supplements that can help too!! :D Good luck!!
