I am sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I had endometriosis removed from the back of my uterus via lap last year. We have been TTC for 4 years so endo is likely the cause, although the most accepted prognosis for endo and IF is that the endo affects egg quality, via the ovary or it affects the mechanics of getting pregnant by affecting your tubes. My RE doesn't seem concerned that I had endo on the back of my uterus and other places but since the embryo and the uterus have to communicate it seems to me if you have scar tissue from endo or anything else on the uterus that it could be affected, but I am not a dr. I hope you get your BFP really soon. AimeeM mrsctw1 10-09-2007, 06:40 PM Amber..... I don't know how much this will help but, I have endo on the back of my uterus and on one ovary. I have been pregnant many times around the time I was diagnosed and even though the pregnancies failed.... my doctors seem confident that it was my blood disorder and a bad tube that caused my loses. So I did conceive with endo. they told me I should be fine since I don't have much damage from the endo......for now at least. So, It may depend on how your endo is in there...... what level of severity it is.... but, like Aimee said.... I am not a doc but, I hope that helps you!!! Good luck to you!!!! PrincessSweetNS 10-10-2007, 12:32 PM Hi Amber, and welcome!! I have no idea abotu your answer, as I haven't (yet) encountered endometriosis. I don't thin it would cause IF exactly, but as the other ladies have said, it depnds on the severity and so forth. Have you spoken to your doctor? *****babydust******* Jsquared 11-20-2007, 07:37 PM I thought I might give some hope to those with endo. I had a lap last Feb and OB diagnosed me with stage IV endo. DH and I had been TTC for 3 years at that time and she told me I would of never of been able to get preggo in those 3 years. Everything was stuck together. I had the surgery and she got as much as she could. My bladder is still stuck to my uterus though. We were told from now up to 6 mos after the surgery was my best chances to get pregnant. We tried for 4 months with no luck. I decided I didn't have much time before it grew back and went straight to IVF. It was the sixth month after my surgery and we transferred 3 embies and one took. We are now 15 weeks pregnant. (My IVF doctor's wife also had endo and he studied it vigorously. They ended up doing IVF and were also able to get pregnant). Endo SUCKS!!! With the physical pain it brings it also brings the emotional pain when trying to conceive. I hope my story gives a little hope to all of you who suffer from this condition. I've had endo for 14 years and we couldn't get pregnant with timed intercourse or IUI. InVitro worked for us. My RE did tell me that women with endo can sometimes have it IN their uterus which causes the "sticky" stuff to not be sticky therefore the embryo does not stick. I hope that made sense. |
