Don't you love all these baby noises? My DD is 5 months, and she coos, and laughs, but doesn't babble yet. So far her only consonant sound is /g/. Her coos are sort of quiet, but she is definitely responding to me. She is VERY smiley and happy, just a bit more quiet than some other babies. Also, she is a bit socially shy. Sometimes she doesn't smile at strangers while we are out and about, and other times she will. Kind of depends on her mood, I guess. So, my question is, is this ok? Is it anything to worry about? Anyone else have a baby like this? I love her to pieces no matter what, but I am a worry-wart. I just can't help myself!:D
Thanks for your help girls!

Don't worry, at her age she is just figuring out what a face is and what it means, so she will relate more to the familiar one. That is very healthy, she can recognise your face over another and shows this by her response to it. I think this age is one of the cutest and most joyous, as they discover little by little the world around them. Enjoy! Cheers, Sera
