View Full Version : Chest Pains need help

Hey,
I'm not sure if this is the place to put this but I didn't see an area for chest pains. About 30min ago I was watching TV in a leaning forward position. All of a sudden a sharp tearing like pain came about on my left side where my heart is. I tried to move to see if I could get rid of it but it made it hurt worse. My breath was shortened and my left side hurt every time I took a breath. The pain was also along my left arm and between my shoulder blades. I decided to drive to the ER, but when I got there it seemed to of faded away, so I decided not to go in. They lasted for about 25 min, during that time I couldn't even move. I'm only 19 and I am very confused because it doesn't seem like something that should be happening at my age. If anyone has any advice asap, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tyler

Any bad pain needs to be checked out. It sounds more like a muscular spasm than a heart issue, but having said that, it is a good idea to get your heart health checked and a good physical examination. Good luck, Sera
