Hey there...Yesterday was my best day ever with this crap. I felt close to normal with some minimal visual stuff. I had a busy active day. Today, I have dropped a bit...but not terrible (plus had a terrible night sleep...hormones coming in line after weening baby).
Can I ask what your month 13/14 was like? Did you have days you felt "normal" or close to it...with drops in function days around those days? Or did it just get better and better until it was gone?
I know it has been a number of years since your recovery...I am just so happy I had a good day. The baby turns 1 on Friday...and I could not ask for a better gift.
Thanks so much.:jester:

Hi Charlotte
...."what your month 13/14 was like? Did you have days you felt "normal" or close to it...with drops in function days around those days? Or did it just get better and better until it was gone?"....
There were days when I felt almost normal, days when I felt normal and days when I was somewhere between 90-100%---long about 14 month----all days---were always better then the preceding day---until it just never came back(except for that one spin in month 24---from working under the car)....
Think---each one is different---they key is(I think) u have bad days and good days---but the good start to outnumber the bad---which seems to be an indication that this junk is getting ready to go---and---become a "rear view mirror" event.....

Hi Subs and Char, this is where I am at....my days are a consisted of feeling 100%, then Ill get a blip if i turn my head to fast, something that has to do with the eyes. I just get a wierd feeling. That's what I call a blip.
Subs, does that sound familar what you would call a blip? Oh another thing, I just came back from another trip. I flew again with no probs. So its been twice in 3 weeks!!!! Your support is wondeful, eventhough everyone's progress is different!

Hi Cathy
Great on the flying!
Yep---I'd call that a "blip"----vision is the last to correct...at least for me.
How long does it last?

It only lasts a second or two. Not any longer. Do you still work underneath your car with no problems?

Subs another question. Did you find when you started noticing better "normal" moments...it was the light at the end of the tunnel?

Charlotte - So glad to hear that you're feeling better! It sounds like 100% might be near!!
Subs - During you first year or two with this stuff ... I know you said you did MEPs pretty regularly - how often would you say you had any spinning when doing the MEPs (or in between MEPs)? How long after your last "spinning" event would you say you hit 100%?
Also, did you (or do you still) consciously limit your head position in general such as avoiding lying flat, etc.?

Hi Ssdizzy
Yep---Scott ran across the MEP R&D paper(and had it added to the "Sticky")---think I was at month 9 or 10---and I started using it.
When I first tried the MEP---had spinning on first set position one and two only---followed the instructions and continued with the MEP's until did three sets in 24 hours with no spinning/problems..
From then on out---only had a couple of spins prob spaced out---a month apart---but---did the MEP at least one set---every day, then every week, etc....if/when I felt a spin coming on---would immediately---shift back to the instructions---and do MEP's....they took care of any/the spinning---in short order---then it was back to a set every day, once a week, etc....until the next spin...etc...the MEP was the way I found out---that the rocks were back---in the canal---and I used the MEP's(IAW the instructions) to clear them....in the end(until that one time at month 24--under the car deal)---they(rocks) got out and stayed out(so far)....
Last spinning event to 100% was about one or two months(exception was month 24)
In the beginning when this junk FIRST hit---I did limit my head/body positions---by about month 13/14 not much at all---took me about 24 months---to feel comfortable sleeping on my right side(right ear had the BPPV)---now no problems on any side or any head position.....

Thanks again Subs .... it's nice to get some real world perspective on this junk and your experience really gives me hope that this stuff will really and truly go away!
