Does this sound right? She said it would be throwing away money to try an IUI with less than 30% motility.
We had our first consult today. We had a vas reversal done two years ago, and 6 months after his reversal, my husband's semen analysis was 15 million sperm, but with only 2% motility. He is having another analysis done on Friday this week, and if the motility is lower than 30%, the dr said we won't do the IUI.
Would love feedback on this. This is all very new info for us. Thanks.

Hi Tatum!
I have no idea, because I have never done IUI, but in case it is a problem, I would suggest that DH start taking some vitamins and supplements and start working with healthy food (if he hasn't already) some miracle can happen with just some vitamins!!! :D:D:D:D And welcome, darling!!!!:D

I am not quite sure how quickly they would work on their own, but vitamins, along with supplements and exercise and lots of dark greens shoudl give you good results fairly soon, liek a cycle or two. I knwo it sounds long, but it's worth the wait, right? I'm no doctor, but everyone I've heard who uses that game plan seems to have positive results shortly. HTH!!

Tatum, I was going to suggest the same thing...vitamins & supplements. One that is supposed to be really good is pycnogenal. You can look it up on the internet. Zinc is also important. You can find either in your local pharmacy in the vitamin aisle.
I believe sperm production takes about 70 days. So the supplements would probably take about that long to work. It would be more than worth it though if you saw an improvement and didn't need to go straight to IVF.
Good luck!!!
