View Full Version : Hormonal acne

Hello!

I am looking to see if anyone knows of a natural or alternative way to reduce and hopefully eliminate hormonal acne. I know it is hormonal because I break out for the same 10 days every month. General things like a good face wash, benzyol peroxide and salicylic acid are completely ineffective. I feel as though general acne remedies aren't effective because my problem isn't general acne. Is there possibly a supplement I can take to eliminate it from the inside out?

Just a note: I do eat very healthy for someone my age (no fried food, little sugar, no soda, no caffeine, lots of fruits and veggies, only dairy is from cheese etc).

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I am 41 years old, eat relatively healthy and have hormonal acne.

My family recently had a head lice scare. Because of this, I discovered Tea Tree Oil.

Tea Tree Oil has lots of uses.

I use an apricot scrub mixed with the tea tree oil every night to wash my face. I then apply the oil with a q-tip directly to the acne. It does not keep them from popping up, but it does keep them from getting big.

I have been doing this since July and so far so good.

Hope this helps.
