Do you wear contacts or glasses? I think you should go to an eye doctor. What you are describing (fuzzy dotty layered vision) sounds like you may simply need vision correction. That is exactly how I see without my correction (glasses, contacts or Lasik). I don't think anyone will think you are crazy. Make an appointment! Good luck!

That is crazy? how have you gone so long without an eye exam? And how do you read? And hasn't anybody ever taught you about eye health? Most insurances cover a basic eye exam or it is about 60.00 andup? What are you going ot do if you lose your site? All because you think people think you are crazy? What is crazy is thinking that you have to live this way? I would suggest talking with a few eye specialists and collecting some opinions about your eyes, and chose who you feel most comfortable with.. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you have some astigmatism which is really no big deal? But don't take word for it ? Could be anything? ANd it does not get better by not visiting your eye doctor. more than liekly you are straining your eyes to see now , which only makes it worse.

Anyway, I hope this helps encourage you to make an appointment.

Great prices everywhere , but in your case I would probably go to reputable private doctor maybe about 150.00 or 200.00 for a thorough professional exam . Exam takes about 30 minutes on the average. All they do is look at your eyes through various instruments and never touch your eye. Test your vision. I would avoid the small franchise opticians. Check your public health department for health insurance if you are looking for a job and just moved here or borrow the money, bring money? Most insurances cover most of the cost. YOu should have your eyes checked every 1 or 2 years.

Good LUuck!
