Hi guys
I was just watching a teleconference on the use of e-stim immediately after botox with positive results and wondered if
1) anyone has used this like this
2) where do you get these from?? Can you buy them over the internet??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

My son used this. The therapist obtained the device after the orthopedist wrote a prescription for it. It did help in conjunction with physical therapy. Medical insurance paid for the device, but I'd urge you to use it only in consultation with a PT. It's a bit tricky knowing where to place the electrodes and getting them in the wrong place can impede progress. We were, however, pleased with the way that e-stim facilitated his work in therapy.

We used a TES machine for my son. The manufacturer is tough to find but we think we saw results. Its a good deal of dedication. I would try it over a few months. Ask your PT - not all have familiarity and many docs will try an debunk it.

Our insurance would pay only if it was used for post-op to decrease pain. So that's how we got our insurance to pay for it. Was and is VERY helpful in increasing muscle strength.

hi, my daughter uses this, with great results. she went from closed fist always to use od her hand as a "helper" hand. we obtained it from therapist who thank god gave it to us for almost nothing! She hasnt had botox yet, but we are considering that also. we use it 2 times daily. good luck.

Is this machine a bit like the TENS machine that is sometimes recommended for people with back pain and women in labour? If so we are able to hire the machines from any major pharmacy.
