Hello. I found out today that my roommate has genital herpes, and yesterday my dog got into her trash with used pads and tampons and licked my face to wake me up this morning. Does anyone know if there is any way i could have gotten oral herpes through my dog??? Please help or send me in the direction of where I can find this out PLEASE.

Whats more likely to happen is the dog eats your homework. Your perfectly fine. The dog has not contracted herpes nor passed them a long to you.

The virus does not live outside the body for any length of time. It wants to live on a live host. Not a used menstrual pad.
