Hi,

Does Plan B interact with a low dose antibiotic, or should it still work? I was on Minocycline for my skin for about 1 week, ending about 3 days ago - I didn't like it so I had stopped taking it.

I had to take Plan B today because I am also off of birth control as of last Sunday - was having my withdrawl bleed and my boyfriendand I had sex, the condom broke, and he "finished" in me. I'm freaking out. I took the Plan B rightr away this morning and will take the other pill tonight.

Can anyone help? Do you think I could get pregnant? I'm in despair...

Also- I went and got the Nuva Ring today - and can't seem to keep it from starting to come out! How does one get it all the way in?

OH yeah and I did get the Nuva Ring from a doctor; I just forgot to ask about the antibiotic and Plan B interaction because I had only taken it about a week, maybe not even, and wasn't sure it had gotten into my bloodstream - and since I had stopped several days before we had this happen, thought it didn't matter. Now i'm wondering...

I dont know the answer to your question about the antibiotics but i wanted to comment on how to get the ring to stay in. I have been on the nuvaring for a few months. I basically put the ring inside and push the ring as far as my finger reaches. I mean its hard for me to get it out but ive never had a real problem with that. Ive never felt it slipping out before. How far up are you putting yours?

As far up as I can get it! Can I ask you, did you get emotional on the NuvaRing? I have been on it a week...and I keep having crying episodes and am being moody to my bf for no reason, it's like I can't control it. And breaking out a little- did you break out on it can I ask?

As the previous poster said you want to push it as back as you can. I've been using it for about 5 months and the first try was tricky because I wasn't sure on usage. BUT after that it was really easy, go to the site for nuvaring and there are good visual graphics that show how to do it. Basically though you want it as far back towards your cervix as possible. If you can feel it when it's in then it isn't far enough. Basically like a tampon, you shouldn't be able to tell it's there. Hope this helps some!

Hint: To insert the Nuvaring, just empty a tampon, insert the ring in and use the tampon to insert the ring onto your cervix!

Tip from my MALE doctor and I've never had a problem with feeling it may come out. He did mention if someone was constipated, they could possibly risk the ring coming out, but the website just says if it ever did come out, just cleanse with mild soap and water and insert back in immediately.

I've used it for 8 months and LOVE IT!
