My Mom developed an area the size of my hand, on her buttocks.
The area became dark and purplish in color. I bought some Zim's Wound
Care, which is very expensive at 20 bucks for an ounce.
It is collagen and very sticky. Being afraid to use it straight on the bedsore, I first mixed it with Balmex, the zinc oxide diaper rash ointment.
After 6 days of applying it to the area about 3 times a day, it is completely healed. The skin color is now normal. You could see the damaged skin, drying up and sloughing off. This stuff really works!!

That's awesome, thanks for the tip. I am sure I can use it, I just started taking care of a woman who is bedridden & doesn't like to roll like she should to prevent the bedsores.

I am sure this will come in handy in the future.
