i was wondering if my reoccuring kidney infections every 3 to 5 months have anything to do with an iud merina? i had ask the doctor in the emergency the last time i went in and he said no but other people have said it may. i can feel myself getting sick all over agin adn i was wondering so i can go and have it removed if there is a link between the two.

There is no harm in trying. Get it removed and see if things improved. Any foreign object in the body can help infection linger and an IUD is not something your body produced or produces so it may be rejecting it. Talk to your OB GYN about it sounds like the ER doc may have been dismissive and did not feel like taking it out for you.
