What all is involoved in getting tested for fertility? I guess I know the basics like they do a sperm count on a man, but what do they do for females? And if they find the counts to be low in a man what do they do to bring it up?

Hi Hailey

To start off with they may do a cycle assessment to see if your hormones are all working properly which is a series of blood tests and ultrasounds. From there they would be able to assess where to go from there. All the best.

When you say Cycle assesment do you mean like see why my periods are so off and why I am not getting my periods on a regular schedule

A cycle assess is where they do blood work on certain days of you cycle to see what your hormone levels are for that particular stage of the cycle so they can pick up any problems they may also do an ultrasound around the time of ovulation as well.

Hi Hayleymae,

As Cashahn has already said the first test is the blood work for the hormone levels. Once those are done they can take it from there.

Welcome to the board and Good luck

Charlene.
