I had a period for two weeks last May and took provera for 7 days When I started my period in June, I took the provera again and I have been bleeding every day since June 7 2007 minus 23 days. I had a biopy and an ultra sound where it was discovered that I have fibroids. I was placed on the pill and after 21 days, the bleeding stopped. I started my period again 23 days ago and the bleeding is still here. I spoke with my doctor and he advised to go off the pill to see if my body will go back to normal and if it does not by early next week, to call and schedule an ablation. I have had one in 1999 for heavy long periods which worked until now. Having the big H is not an option for me and I want to know if there are any other alternatives that I may try before having the ablation or D & C?
