No..it totally depends on your individual hormone patterns...When I was trying to get pregnant everyone kept telling us to try somewhere between day 12 and day 16..we had no luck so my doctor did the ovulation predictor kit and we found that I ovulate on day 10 of my cycle. I have a "normal" 28 day cycle and was like clockwork starting my period on day 28 every month. So I guess that would make my period start 18 days after I ovulate.

I always thought this yet when I tried for baby # 2 I took ovulation tests that revealed I ovulated on day 9 or 10. I also start every 28 days so this was news to me.
