It's less common, but possible. You can get herpes infections on your fingers (Herpes Whitlow) and in your eye if it is transmitted there. The best prevention is good hygiene, wash your hands after touching infected areas. Hope that helps. lilanne19 10-15-2007, 12:29 AM Not sure how long you've have herpes but it should be noted that the longer you have it the less likely you are to transmit it to other parts of the body. Studies suggest that when people reinfect themselves it's usually within the first year. After that, your body should have enough antibodies to prevent it from happening. |
