hey, i am about to start taking the BC pill Apri today and I have been reading up on it. I have read awful things that this pill will cause me to gain weight. Is this true? I have also read that there is no evidence that Bc pills actually cause weight gain itself but it was a change in appetite. i was just wondering what others witnessed while on Apri and if weight gain will most likely occurr. I am a college freshman and have already gained a few punds becasue of a change in my eating habits at school and dont want to gain any more weight due to BC. and this is the first BC I will have ever taken. Any feedback about any side effects will be greatly apprecitaed.

Hi there, sorry this is getting back late, but I was on Apri for two years. The bc itself did not cause weight gain but my increase in appetite led me to gain about 20 lbs. If you can control your eating, you shouldn't have a problem. The only reason I noticed this is because I switched to Yaz three months ago and I no longer have the awful cravings and constant hunger like I did with Apri. I've lost 5 lbs already just from my eating habits going back to normal.
