View Full Version : No Need To Suffer The Break-Outs

Seriously, I want to write this somewhere, anywhere, since in the past I was the one looking for this answer and couldn't find it.

Every girl who is taking a pill that is making her break out: change it. You can always find a better one. Stop listening to those people who are telling you: oh wait three months, it's going to be allright, it's a side effect, etc etc etc. I listened. And waited. And waited. And waited. Then my prom came. And I had zits and break outs because of my stupid pill. It was horrible. I hated it so much!

I'm a really patient girl, but even so, I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't even wait another third month: I changed from Yasmin to Tri Cyclen. From the FIRST PILL, I saw a difference. In a week almost everything was cleared up. My face is now almost perfect. I have little scars from previous spots but all in all it's pretty good. I'm tremendously happy.

But so annoyed that I had to go trough prom like that! It wasn't the end of the world, but still, I could have changed before but didn't since people around kept telling me to wait. Pffft. Forget that. Don't suffer just change.

I have pretty clear skin when I am NOT on the pill - went on Yasmin -HORRIBLE cysts and pimples...waited 3 months, it was SO bad it took months to get the scars to go away...then tried OrthoCyclen...after month 2 the cysts began coming back (needless to say, that was horribly depressing because I had been months off the pill with crystal clear skin)...went off that and my skin got better within 6 days...however, within those 6 days the condom broke, and I took Plan B and am now freaking out - went the next day to get back on Birth Control and was given the NuvaRing- my gyno said maybe since the hormones are not going through my liver as much, I won't have the breakouts...keeping my fingers crossed...for me it usually takes a month or so before they come...but when they do...omg so horrible.

Thanks for your post- it was like music to my ears. Maybe I CAN find something that works. So if the NuvaRing brings my breakouts back, I should NOT wait for at least 3 months to switch is what you are saying? Cause everyone says to but its SUCH a long time to suffer :-(
