Sponsor lilanne19 10-15-2007, 01:14 AM The only thing you shouldn't do is have sex during an outbreak. The rule is, don't have sex when you feel the prodromal symptoms (tingling etc.), during the ob and about a week after that due to the increased possibility of shedding. Jem0316 10-16-2007, 04:33 PM Thank you. So you can have sex at any other time and most likely you wont spread it? Ca.Girl2 10-16-2007, 05:31 PM Jem, Lilanne gave you WRONG information. You always have the potential of shedding the virus even when you are not having an outbreak OR feeling the "tingling" pre outbreak. Condoms and suppressive medications can help reduce the spread of the virus but they are not 100% guaranteed to prevent you from spreading it. I suggest you get yourself back to the place that tested you and collect the free pamphlets and start your education. Also, there is a fantastic information booklet on line. Its call the "Herpes Handbook". Good luck and please be responsible. |
