Anyone here suffer from morton's neuroma? I think this is my problem after reading a lot of info online. It started about 6 weeks ago and continues to get worse. If anyone knows the prognosis, let me know, ok?

I suffer from this and have had 7 neurolysis treatments in hopes of killing the nerve (treatments have basically done nothing)-- next step... surgery possibly

How bad does your pain get veggieboy? I am wondering how much of this I will have to endure (no insurance and uninsurable so I can't get it fixed). Have there been any other ideas for treatment? What causes this to happen? I am just full of questions.

pain is real real bad,, hurts to walk most of the time.. my birkenstock shoes really help....
Doc says inflammation causing pressure on the nerve & can't seem to calm things down-- have tried aboout everything (except walking on my hands which doesn't sound bad at times).. doc wants me to see a rheumatologist - discuss things, then possibly surgery down the road to correct the mortons... time shall tell... tis very frustrating though....

Do you have it in one foot or both? I have never had any Berkies, but have looked at them many times. I worried that the ridge near the toes would cause pain. I had some $200 inserts made about 3 years ago when I worked and had insurance. They "changed my life"! I was suffering from plantar fasitis (that doesn't look like I spelled it right does it???). I was having to load bags of concrete (80 lbs.) and large bales of peat moss etc and that just about did me in. I am a woman of 45 yrs. and that was more than I could handle! The pain I think is Morton's is just in my left foot. I wear athletic shoes most of the time except for some days to church (pastor' wife)--never high heels EVER. I gave them up when I was 19. So sometimes I am on the front row with my tennies on!!

I would like to hear about any treatments you have.

same age here..
I have had those neurolysiz treatments I mentioned, + steroids, + cortisone injections. Nothing has really helped calm the inflammation... and inflammataion as the doc tells me leads to cartilage destruction (arghhhhhhhhhhh) again-- i will visit the rheumy to see if anything new can be found out -
take care
