Has anyone ever broken their arch before? I've finally gotten a referral for the orthopedic, but it's not until the 19th that I go in. Question is.....WHAT in the world is wrong with my foot?
Background....in January, I stepped on a round dog bone. It was one of those big beef basted cow knuckles (I know....gross, but the dog loves them. lol) After that, I had some foot pain and figured that I just bruised my foot because I've stepped on her toys and such before without any big problems. So, after about a month, I still had the pain. I wanted to go to the doctor but was afraid of racking up a bill. We were waiting for my husband's insurance to kick in. So.....ever since January, it's been painful and I had swelling. The pain is one of those that hurts when I bend my foot when I walk and it also hurts when I first get up from sitting.
Also, it "cracks". I've always had the cracking sound, but what is weird now is that it sounds almost hollow. I know that doesn't make sense. One person has suggested that I possibly broke my arch and it has set on its own, but not properly.
Anyone have any insight on this?
Thanks for ANY help or opinions.
