Being new to the singles scene I was surprised to find out of the prevalence of Herpes. Wouldnt you know it, the very first sexual experience after my separation and my very first important relationship, both told me that they had HSV2. After falling in love with my partner I was not going to give up that easy. I tryed to figure out a way to prevent the disease by creating a condom that covers the genitalia and prevents skin to skin contact during intercourse. I started with a female condom and glued on wings. It worked, but having to glue cut-out ziplock bags to female condoms was a pain. Anyway, I decided to just go ahead and have them manufactured. I'm wondering if there is a need out there for this. I just registered for a patent and hopefully this will be something that can help other people who are in love and cant give up that easy as well.

If a person is shedding then, it's the entire boxer shorts region that could be contagious. So if a private part brushes up against the top of the thigh etc. but I will say that you're idea would be safer than the condoms currently on the market.

If you're asking if people would use them - just like condoms I guess it would be personal choice. Personally, I wouldn't. Without being too graphic, my partner and I both really enjoy full skin on skin contact. Wearing a plastic bag around my entire genitalia would not be something I'd consider - even if I didn't already have herpes and he did.

That being said, I'm sure there are people out there who would use it...
