Hi,

I saw a video posted on you tube for the pocketdresser before. I've had similar tools before (OXO Good Grip thing) but alwys bend or break. This thing looked neat cause it was a pocket knife like design. It looks pretty expensive through. Has anyone used one and would you recommend it? I'm on fixed income, but would buy it if its sturdy.

Also - anyone know a good sock pull tool that doesn't require a lot of grip or bending?

Thanks

Steve

I looked at that tool and it looks pretty neat. I also can't get to my feet and trying to get socks on it really hard. I try to use the picker upper tool and get my toes into the sock that way then pull all around the sock to get it up.
I keep my tennis shoes ties loose so I just slip my feet into them.

I know the tool they give people after surgery on their hips:jester: for socks is way to huge for my socks to stretch that much so it's pointless for me. Hopefully someone has better ideas here. Sunshine

I've not seen the tool you refer to, but I have a grabber and a grabber with a shoe horn on the other end of it. Mine worked great for me & hasnt broken yet, I got it in my local drugstore. It's not something that would be portable, though as it's a few feet long. But it sure helped me after my surgery and now when I get sciatica and cant bend. Times when I cant bend at all or even lift my feet up, I use the grabber w/ shoe horn for my socks, then I use shoes that dont need to be tied. Either slips ons that have elastic around the top of the foot, or the ones w/ velcro closure.
